In Matthew 9:36-10:42 Jesus gives his disciples a comprehensive workshop on Christian mission. There are three major components of his teaching in these passages, namely his motive and strategy for mission, followed by an explanation of cost of engaging in mission. In our seminar, we will have time to consider the first two components of Jesus’s teaching and will need to save discussing the cost of mission next time.
