Planting
The Cambridgeshire Gospel Partnership is an interdenominational network of church leaders who work together to strengthen and multiply Bible-centred churches across our region. We long to see new churches planted in areas where there is little or no gospel witness.
We are holding a Cambridgeshire Planting Collective day on Saturday, 11th November, for those who would like to hear more about planting evangelical churches in the Cambridgeshire area. Please follow the link to the website of this event: https://cgpcollective.com/
One of the parts of the East Anglia Gospel Partnership is the church planting team. We are made up of members of the Partnership who have experience planting churches – from Anglican and free church backgrounds, in urban, suburban and rural settings using different models. Our aims are:
- To help churches plan and pray through the planting of new churches.
- To encourage planting in the gospel gaps – the parts of our region where we don’t know of a gospel teaching church within easy reach of people who live there.
How can we help you?
These are an introduction to the idea of church planting. We will look at the biblical reasons for planting churches, different models of church planting and where to go from here. We can come to run a Saturday morning or an evening event for your church or a local gathering of churches. This is a good way to begin thinking about planting.
If you are beginning to consider a church plant, you may as well learn from our mistakes! We can meet with you, your leadership team or the whole church to offer advice and resources that might help.

Graham Beynon
Graham leads Grace Church which was a joint from plant from Eden and Rock Baptist Churches in Cambridge. Grace Church started in 2012 in the north suburbs of Cambridge. Previously Graham led Avenue Community Church, a plant in Leicester.
Tim Chapman
Tim leads Christ Church South Cambs an Anglican Church plant begun in 2006. Tim spent 6 years soldiering in the British Army before training for Christian Ministry. He enjoys paragliding and triathlons.
John Hindley
