FOUR COUNTIES MINISTRY TRAINING COURSE

Training men and women for a lifetime of gospel ministry

Welcome to the homepage for the Four Counties Ministry Training Course. This is a year long course, running one day a week (Thursdays), over three ten week terms. It’s based in Bedford and seeks to serve the counties of Herts, Beds, Bucks and Northants.

The course was setup in 2019 in partnership with the TEAM training course (Cambridge) and the East Anglia Gospel Partnership. Our aim is to train people from all walks of life to faithfully handle God’s word in engaging today’s world.

We hope that here you will be able to find out more about the course, what we do, who we are, and what we believe.

If you’d like more information about the course or would like to apply please do get in touch by clicking below.

Please note:
Unfortunately, due to a lower number of applications than anticipated, the 4 Counties Ministry Training Course will not be running in the academic year 2021/22.

However, we would encourage anyone thinking about the 4CMTC to consider the TEAM course in Cambridge which runs in a very similar way to the 4CMTC –  (one day a week in term time, on Wednesdays, commencing on 22 September 2021). In fact the 4CMTC was run in partnership with the East Anglia Gospel Partnership and TEAM and the curriculum was based on that of the TEAM course.

What We Do

The Four Counties Ministry Training Course runs on Thursdays, 10am-4pm, for three ten-week terms between September and July. It takes place at Christ Church in Bedford, a short walk from the town centre, and easily accessible by road or public transport.

The course has the aim of serving the counties of Herts, Beds, Bucks and Northants in offering thorough and high quality training for people who want to be better equipped to serve the gospel in their churches and everyday front-lines.

The course is for men and women of all ages from all denominations and church groups who desire to grow in their ability to understand and teach the Bible – whether in large or small gatherings, with children, youth, students or seniors. No qualifications are necessary – just the desire to learn and grow.

The course is taught through a mix of lectures, discussions and small group work, and includes the following elements:

  • Bible Overview
  • Bible handling skills
  • Core doctrines
  • Practical ministry
  • Hands-on practice
