We invite you to the TEAM Teaching Day.
Christopher Ash is Writer in Residence at Tyndale House, Cambridge. He has been a pastor and church planter and the Director of the Cornhill Training Course. Christopher has written some shorter books about the Psalms (Bible Delight, Teaching Psalms volumes one and two, Psalms for You) and has a four-volume Christ-centered Commentary due for publication in July 2024 (Crossway).
Christians have always prayed and sung the Psalms. But how are we to understand them under the new covenant? What do they mean in the light of Christ having come? In this teaching day I hope to open up some of the key questions and suggest answers from the New Testament.
The day will be divided into four sessions with breaks in between:
Link: Recording Session 1: Why ought Christians to pray and sing the Psalms?
Link: Recording Session 2: How ought Christians to pray and sing the Psalms (in the light of the New Testament)?
Link: Recording Session 3: Answering some difficult questions for Christians singing the Psalms.
Link: Recording Session 4: Some worked examples with a selection of psalms.
Please contact: teamadmin1@googlemail.com for further details and registration.
We will hold the TEAM Teaching Day at Eden Baptist Church, Cambridge.
Doors open at 9:30am.
Cost: £10 (£5 if your circumstances require it, please speak to us). Includes refreshments but not lunch. Please pay in advance via BACS or on the day at entry in cash.
Training for East Anglia Ministry (TEAM) exists to help train people to understand and teach the Bible better and is part of the Cambridgeshire Gospel Partnership.
