We invite you to the Autumn TEAM Teaching Day.
Dr. Eric Ortlund, Lecturer in Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew at Oak Hill College, will be teaching on ‘Job and Psalms of lament’ and how we respond to God in suffering in the right way.

You will be exploring questions like:

  • Why does God allow suffering that is horrendous and inexplicable – i.e., it doesn’t seem to grow us in Christlikeness? What is God’s purpose in Job-like ordeals?
  • What does God expect from us in ordeals like this?
  • What promises does God make to us in a Job-like ordeals?
  • What are we allowed to say to God when we suffer?
  • How can we best speak to others when God allows suffering?

Please contact: teamadmin1@googlemail.com for further details and registration or visit our website eagp.ninefootonehost2.co.uk.

We are planning to hold the TEAM Autumn Teaching Day in person at Eden Baptist Church, Cambridge, but if regulations don’t allow this we will aim to continue online.

Cost: £10 (£5 if your circumstances require it, please speak to us). Includes refreshments but not lunch.

Training for East Anglia Ministry (TEAM) exists to help train people to understand and teach the Bible better.
